First off, my friend Luke called the opener of this show on the way there. This was the 3rd or 4th sraight dead family show at Spac which he had done so. If I remeber correctly Benveto/Russo was the opener. Trey and Mike Gordon came out and played Who are You with them along with a Trey tune or two. Benveto?Russo was really good by themselves, but as the caps got going it just blew me and the rest of the full capacity grass ampitheatre away. I remeber one of the other tunes was a really slinky and creapy(as in the grass is switching colors with my feet) Firefly. People were screaming and beating there chests. Very funky bunch indeed. So let the good times roll starts and things are just peachy. Joan Osborne was really awesome to have along as I fell in Love with her a few years before when she toured with the Dead. Rob Barraco is a favorite family member of mine as well. Good vibe Brother.I hear he used to tear it up with the Zen tricksters. Larry Campbell shows here what Jackie Green now nows, that he's the man. The mood was pretty mellow throughout until Trey comes out for the last few and then the encore. Things got crazy... Listen for yourself.
The best songs IMHO-> Sittin, valley, althea, new speeway

I went to this show, and a few before and after. This was the best, in my opinion. Props for sharing it!
Let the Good Times Roll as an opener is always appreciated!

This was a good show for sure. Although Joan stole the show it was nice to see old Phil once again. Although it was a little slow at times, I could not stop dancing.

Subject: Check out Bethel if you like this show
I attended this show at SPAC- Phil's show was good, not my favorite set list, but definitely a couple gems in there.
Look- if you liked this show DEFINITELY check out the Bethel NY 7/09 show. This is at the new Bethel Center for The Arts- for those of you who dont know- is built on top of the original Woodstock site (or on the same property).
There were definitely some ghosts around Sunday night at Bethel - The 7/9 show is MUCH better, MUCH more energy..... but i had a good time at this show too- I am finally getting my self wrapped around Joan on lead vocals for some songs.

And what a birthday it was. I stayed at the Top Hill Hotel (what a shit hole) and I still had an amazing time. Without a doubt Phil had a message to everyone in attendence with this setlist (Maybe it had something to do with the shady Slave Mathews show a couple of days before).
